A Tradition of Mentoring
An engrained part of SGS is a culture of generous giving, not only through donations to support programs, but generous outreach from leaders and members to nurture the next generation of gynecologic surgeons. One can see this in the opportunities afforded to non-members who become curious about the level of support they can receive from our experts. Examples include the Fellow Scholars Program, or those who may attend the Winter Postgraduate Course, or register for the Annual Meeting, or others who learn about ways to become involved through the Fellows Pelvic Research Network (FPRN), or wish to research via the Pelvic Anatomy Group (PAG) website. Whenever SGS leadership is faced with the question of whether to make a program or communication extend to non-members or prospects, the decision 9 times out of 10 is to be inclusive. Training and fostering these relationships are what SGS is known for.
