    2025 Distinguished Surgeon Award Winner Marlene Corton, MD

     

    The Distinguished Surgeon Award is given annually to one SGS Active or Lifetime Member in good standing who has made outstanding contributions to or an outstanding mark in gynecologic surgery. The Award can incorporate many aspects of the Society’s mission including education. This award is supported by the Donald G. Gallup Fund.

    2025 Distinguished Service Award Winner Kate Meriwether, MD

     

    The SGS Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to an SGS member in good standing who has provided important contributions to the Society.

    The selection is made by the Board of Directors and is based on scientific leadership, organizational or society service, and contributions to SGS, gynecologic surgery and/or surgical patient care.

    This award is supported by the Thomas E. Nolan Fund.

    This award recognizes young talent and commitment to SGS during fellowship and post fellowship and highlights the important role of associate members as a pipeline for future SGS Active Membership.
